Pawtucket, RI — On Saturday, April 12th, the Spaulding Outpatient Center of Kent Hospital’s Providence location (100 Butler Dr, Providence, RI) hosted a complimentary Easter Egg Hunt for children with special needs. The rehabilitation center, along with other local organizations, planned the special Easter Egg Hunt for the enjoyment of children with special needs and their families.
“I look forward to this event each year, as it brings a tremendous amount of joy and fun to children with special needs and their families. The area chosen for the Easter Egg hunt is wheelchair accessible, so everyone was able to safely participate in the fun, which is the goal of the event,” said Luke Davis, MBA, OTR/L, Regional Director, Rehabilitation Services, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, Care New England.
Davis added, “Every year, it’s so rewarding when parents tell me how much fun their child had, how many eggs they found, and what prizes they won. I want to make sure the children in Rhode Island that have special needs and disabilities have the same experience as children everywhere during this season.”
The event was held at the Spaulding Outpatient Center of Kent Hospital Providence on the Butler Hospital campus. There were games, Easter Bunny and Princess photo opportunities, face painting, crafts, refreshments, and a light lunch available for participants and their families.
