About Our Residents

Current Residents (2023 - 2024)

Bethany Ramos, PharmD

Hometown: Acushnet, MA
Pharmacy School: University of Rhode Island

Why Kent Hospital:
I completed a community APPE rotation with the Care New England pharmacy as a P4 and was given the opportunity to shadow pharmacists in different areas in the hospital. I was impressed by the involvement of pharmacy within the hospital and collaboration. When I researched the program, I found the wide variety of rotations offered would allow me to explore the endless opportunities of clinical pharmacy as a resident, and I get to enjoy being in RI for at least the next year!

Interests and Hobbies:
My interests include psychiatry and oncology, as well as ambulatory care. When I am not at the hospital you can find me at the gym, shopping at Homegoods, or trying out a new recipe. I’m a summer girl, so staying in New England meant my fiancé and I could continue to go on weekend trips with our dog! My fall weekends are full of football as a UGA Bulldogs and Patriots fan.

Sara Kehn, PharmD

Hometown: Troy, NY
Pharmacy School: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Why Kent Hospital:
I was initially drawn to Kent because of the wide variety of rotations and the teaching opportunities that are offered. I’m able to gain experience in my areas of interest along with being able to explore others. Additionally, they have different teaching experiences between URI and the institution being a teaching hospital. During my interview, everybody was so kind and welcoming which made me even more excited about the program. I knew if I matched at Kent, I would have a great support system and be able to grow into a well-rounded pharmacist.

Interests and Hobbies:
Professionally, my interests include emergency medicine and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, my hobbies include dance and softball. I also enjoy going to the beach and really anything that involves being outdoors.
